thinking back to this, and i think i wanted to insist on a poem format because in my head that's how i can visualise the synesthetic (but make it fantasy) relationship between the senses serene has (or i guess had and it's weakened, but internally they can still conceive of it. ghost limb vibes)

i think it'd kill me but maybe if i let serene know it's to make the big bucks they'd hold back
i'll tell them it's for the bit i believe in them (they nod sympathetically and pretend to go along with it before annihilating me for their own bit. they'd done research on me beforehand you see)
