I know here in the USA everyone is free to believe in any religion or none, but come on. Public display of ritualistic beliefs just seems like wearing sackcloth & ashes or praying on streetcorners. How can you say you're a Christian & continuously ignore Christ's teachings? Seems hypocritical. JS.

now i'm ready for some more grit and graffiti. need to test the knee out and get on the road while it's not covered in ice. nature's just been so beautiful lately it's grabbed all the attention. saw a good spot for photos yesterday but there were a lot of guys hanging on streetcorners so 🤔. dare i?

(I have doubts about that situation description tbh. For a country handing out AKs in streetcorners in February, stopping clueless Russian advance is one thing and sustaining a combined arms offensive to take back occupied territory against a peer army is something quite different.)

Remember - its not that people are getting dumber: It's that the people who used to be relegated to shouting on streetcorners on soapboxes 1) have podcasts and YouTube channels and 2) advertisers who have a vested interest in making sure as many people hear them as possible.

We decided to just scrape photos/stories from the AP.
It was on that day, when the "innovative" action the publisher decided to take was publish an extra afternoon edition (that was out of date by the time the ink dried) and send staff out to streetcorners to hawk it, newspapers began to die.

Hell yes, he said he’s going to be back on random street streetcorners in NYC every Sunday doing this until June! This is exactly what I needed. Today’s stream, as always, turned into a street party, this time with pizza and champagne and people visibly having the best afternoon. I danced in my PJs.

This is already the present. The shittiest thing about the legacy papers & magazines is their enormous reach - much easier to throttle dissenting voices, but then when those voices leave it's like leaving a massive arena with a 50kW sound system for any number of streetcorners with a suitcase amp

With you 💯 young lady. I like what you say. Not lots of time like most of us but try to keep up. Old, a bit crippled but do what I can to donate and do my part. Also make and donate signs for marches, sometimes sit on streetcorners with a message and wave to traffic. Get creative! 🧢

I don't think most Americans can conceive of how different their day-to-day lives will be once the Posse Comitatus ends. Travel to a country where soldiers are standing on the streetcorners with machine guns, and see of that makes you feel safer.

Not sure if you've ever been to Phoenix, but there isn't anything to do at the streetcorners. (See photo, which is right by my house and the Phoenix standard issue. No shade, no building entrance, nothing welcoming.) But, your point is good! We need to design and build for hanging out.
