The stitchers group I attend have put out a message that it’s a “politics-free zone”. Before Christmas someone criticized “Gavin Newscum”. No action. Last week someone else was knitting a certain red hat with a tassel (but didn’t mention the name or cause). Guess which one caused the telling off.

We're out there! There's a book about it, written by this pattern's creator (I don't own the book though). I have a Star Trek Arts and Crafts group on FB that is fairly quiet but does have some cross stitchers in it, and I'm in other fandom cross stitch groups there as well.
