The more they mention Shaxs and T'ana being lovers the more it makes sense. Shaxs was tortured so often in Cardassian custody severe lacerations count as foreplay for him now.

For personal reasons, one of the funniest scenes in Lower Decks to me is Shaxs telling Rutherford the dark secret of death and revival.
I've never encountered someone else who has been resuscitated so dark as it is the joke resonates with me.

Don't worry, the horror was immediately wiped away by the greater horror of hearing Doctor T'ana tell Mariner she'd love to, and I quote, "snag that Bajoran beefsteak [Shaxs] with my coital hooks," which was a lesson in Caitian anatomy I did NOT need. EVERYONE on the Cerritos needs an HR refresher!

I don't care if it's true or not: I will always personally believe that Shaxs is at least *somewhat* inspired by our work on Shaxx Destiny at Bungie.

I read Shaxs' Best Day as part of the Day of Blood collection and, honestly it put the icing on the cake of Shaxs showing up in the series at all. Stellar work, with maybe some pun intended, by both Derek and yourself, and all involved.
