Watching the Army-Navy game this weekend and seeing that Palantir was a major sponsor, commercials for Booz Allen and the Erika Kirk "town hall" and their glorification of AI in a military/Star Trek skit, CBS is fucked. David Ellison and Bari Weiss have worked quickly to enshitify the place.
CBS is toast. That’s really sad.

I know it's probably sacrilege not to say that Princess Bride or Stand by Me is my favorite Rob Reiner movie, but I've always been in love with A Few Good Men since I first saw it. A perfect movie, as far as I'm concerned and extremely relevant given the times.

Even though I personally dislike Star Trek 2009, the experience of going to the Thursday night premiere at an IMAX screen was pretty incredible. We had not seen new Trek in years and everyone was just excited. A guy walked into the theatre in a TNG uniform and the entire crowd applauded. Electric.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?
Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.
