Gravelweed is just about yard work
I’ve listened through four times. Gravelweed, Don’t Be Tough, and Good while It Lasted are sticking with me. Isbell and I are closed in age; I think I’m relating on a personal level to those.

If you look at "Gravelweed" as the sequel to "Cover Me Up" it's even more painful.
"Gravelweed" by Jason Isbell just gutted me.

Jason Isbell's 'Gravelweed' is so great that if it was 2023 and I was in the middle of a breakup, it'd be my song of the year without question.
Fortunately I'm engaged to a person where I find more to love every single day, and can appreciate it more on craft than 'oh, this just ruins me'.

On my third listen of the new #JasonIsbell album and it just keeps getting better and better. Early standouts are Gravelweed, Eileen, and True Believer. I am picking on more insight on Crimson and Clay.

You're so right. I've been listening to The Best Revenge by PUP and Gravelweed by Jason Isbell over and over, both songs off albums I expected to listen to once and forget. It really is a special thing.
