Research article "Beyond Instrumentalization: Far-Right Women’s Appropriation of Feminism in France" by Charlène Calderaro. Abstract begins: Femonationalism, or the selective use of feminist discourse to advance far-right causes, has often been analyzed through the lens of party politics. Shifting the focus to grassroots activists, this article studies a group of far-right female activists in France organized as a women-only collective of “identitarian feminists” to explore how these grassroots activists articulate anti-feminist frames while also appropriating selective aspects of feminism. The study relies on three types of empirical data: a long-term digital observation of the collective, a critical analysis of documents, and 10 semi-structured interviews. These data reveal that these activists diverge from traditional anti-feminism and instead reflect a femonationalist appropriation of feminism.

#Ukraine beware of 'feminists' pushing for war.
Femonationalism, Class, and War in Ukraine “Arm Ukraine Now” became the main slogan of 🇺🇦mainstream feminism after the start of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Popular feminists sided with nationalism and militarism and advocated “Ukraine’s right to defend itself” on the international level. At home, they shamed draft dodgers, made fun of those who lost their lives while trying to escape Ukraine via mountains and rivers, justified forcing men to the front, and kept silent about the resistance of “ordinary women” to forced mobilization. In addition, they instrumentalized sexual violence by the Russian military (atrocity propaganda) to construct the narrative of the perfect “victim” and “perpetrator” while silencing sexual violence within and by the Ukrainian army. Many militant feminists belong to the middle and upper-middle classes. Most of them do not serve in the army. Their source of income is USAID and other Western grants that promote a specific agenda. They freely travel abroad to present “Ukrainian voices.” Some of them reside outside Ukraine and hold positions in Western academia. Many of their husbands hold non-Ukrainian passports, so they cannot be used as cannon fodder like “ordinary” men in Ukraine. Therefore, militant femonationalism in Ukraine protects the rights of privileged women. Harm the rights of working-class men. And betray ordinary women, many of whom want this war hell to stop. Femonationalism, term coined by Sara Farris, constitutes nationalist & neoliberal weaponisation of women’s rights to stigmatise migrants (esp Muslim men). The feminism invoked serves r-w agenda to further curtail rights of migrants.
Farris’s key examples are from France, the Netherlands & Italy.

I've just sent off an article for a special issue for review. It's about the convergence of different parts of anti-gender movements and looks at femonationalism in Italy and conservative anti-trans lawfare in the UK. It needs a bit of kicking into shape in review but I think it'll be good.
