#faith-based
FWIW a number of the “it’s hopeless” doomer accounts that I’ve encountered turn out to be accounts based outside the US posing as “US politics” accounts, and I strongly suspect many are quite deliberately trying to spread apathy and hopelessness in the US.

They’re just bad-faith wreckers.

When science can observe and quantify faith as a force of nature, I'll believe it. I can not believe in what I do not know or what does not exist because my life choices have consequences based on real things. I take issue with people who do because their calculus eschews the shared reality.

Governments are not meant to deal with Trumps because Trumps are antisocial. A Trump cannot actually build the apparatus of effective governance that he abuses. That's why they're almost always bad for empires.

The bueaucratic systems of a state are based on loyalty, good faith, reciprocity.

Bruh. My mama is listening to this gospel artist and she’s like isn’t she pretty? I take one look and I’m like ….. that’s AI. So I go to google and look and behold

Nah that stuff at least has the capacity to exist as a solid

It's more like Jesus, it's existence is based entirely on stories we can't prove and the blind faith of believers

he looks gay btw. looks like the kind of guy who gets caught looking at gay porn specifically. which i would support if you simply would be gay and not writing a faith based book on how to get out of it.

googling him just now is how i learned he wrote a "faith-based" book on overcoming infidelity, pornography, and alcoholism (?) and went to a "private research university" for evangelicals whose school motto is "god first"
TikTok has recently woken up to this; if Carolina makes the playoffs the fancams are gonna be nuts lol
I was a little surprised and charmed when I saw what Dave Canales looks like. 😍

To demand “proof” of God is actually contrary to Christianity. We are “saved by Grace through Faith.” If there was irrefutable proof of God, Faith would not be necessary. God wants our Faith based on our desire to be better people, not some sort of supernatural fear. God created us to choose Him.

I love talking to my mom about politics, because really, the fundamentalism hasn’t fully taken hold there. I see a woman who could’ve been a faith-based radical in her past life, and has this unshakable hope in justice, because she trusts no nations, principalities or powers.

(To be clear, I'm bending Taylor's language to suit a religious message here, he's not necessarily making a faith-based argument at all.)

Yes. It’s also about the fact that the “full faith and credit” of the US government is partly based on US military might—and, despite the blatant illegality of the intervention, the military operation was successful.

Based on this DOJ’s track record, not putting a lot of faith in their ability to get a conviction…Maduro probably needs to look out if he’s held in the Epstein cell….

It's important to understand that people have different cultures even if you don't want to participate in the rituals and do not share the faith

It should be ok to make a personal remark that you don't share an interest in something though.
Also a good reminder about muting words to avoid annoyance

Bush 1's 1989 invasion of Panama was really a shift in how the US flexed imperial power. The US was saying for the 1st time it can invade foreign countries based on *domestic policing prerogatives*. It was bad faith BS then, as now, but the viability of that as a public rationale marked expansion.
