Welcome to constant nausea, migraines, poor circulation, insomia, body aches, and hot flashes.

New computer is up and running. There's just one problem:

The fans are LOUD AF. It's easily 10-15 db louder than the old machine and I'm trying to figure out which fans are the culprit(s) and if there's anything I can do to silence them.

If it's coming from the video card, I'm pretty much screwed.

Besides JB Pritzker, Zohran Mamdani is one of the few politicians I've heard who actually understands how to talk about trans people, understand the history of our struggle, and what's at stake with this administration.

Being a disabled person sometimes means recognizing that you can't force people to not be assholes to disabled people, and if you're going to force a child to live with that person only to be neglected, abused, or worse, then I personally think abortion is a *consideration* given my circumstances. 😞

Note the LED on the back of the police and military helmets (green for military, red or blue for police). They're effective in tracking the movements of their individual squad members when enveloped by smoke/tear gas. Just an unsolicited data point that someone can utilize at their own discretion. 😉

So... all of that is just me saying that I agree with you on that principal purely from a moral standpoint, but there are a myriad of other factors that determine the actual morality of that decision and it changes on a case-by-case basis for the individual who has to carry that pregnancy to term. 💜

I think in any case, there is a grand amount of nuance that our singular experiences of life, autonomy, ableism, suffering, medical knowledge, and other mitigating factors can't encompass, and that subjectivity would be incorrect to impose on someone else making a serious life or death decision.

That's where we have a tendancy to start projecting our own biases about ableism, parental responsibility, quality of life, or most absurdly "what the fetus wants." Should women be forced to roll the dice on every single pregnancy? No, because that violates autonomy, but it doesn't condone eugenics.

And here's my totally biased opinion: abortion is as much a tool for genocide as it is a tool for saving lives and giving mercy - and that last part, "mercy" is I think the most subjective and crucial part of the equation - as a fetus, they're incapable of comprehending or experiencing suffering.

I think like most serious issues like this there need to be rules with flexible criteria to ensure that a hardline stance isn't needlessly terminating viable fetuses or ignoring the mother's bodily autonomy by forcing her to give birth to a child she can't care for. That's what "family planning" is.
