I love our Tablo which pulls in a ridiculous number of broadcast channels (& also has some free streaming channels); love that it can record shows (it's a DVR too). And their website can tell you how many channels you can probably get (based on zip code). But this isn't an option for everyone.
Gonna post a new thread about Tablo, for the benefit of those of you who live somewhere you can pick up broadcast TV with an antenna and want to be able to easily watch & record shows. (Tablo is cheap, with no subscription fees, can watch/record 2-4 shows at once.) 🧵

Incredibly this seems to be the actual response by most. Like, for about 10 years now you're never not missing channels, everyone blames both sides, nothing YOU can actually do, etc. We're all so used to it we're resigned to "Guess I'll catch up on my DVR Monday & just wait & see how it plays out."
I am a YouTube TV subscriber and it would be a big hassle for my work to not get ESPN this weekend, but I sort of hope it drags out. You two megacorps need to throw us a curveball sometime and actually have football games off air

Living in BC won w timezones on the 18 inning game, NOT tonight though! Skipping my costume and I'll be trusting local kids w an unattended candy bowl outside. Number of neighbours are doing the same and people who aren't watching the Jays are reminding us we can "DVR it"🤨🤣 As if that's an option

Apparently YouTube TV dropped ABC and some other stuff and also axed any ABC-related DVR recordings

Cannot stress this strongly enough. Uninstall/cancel related apps like CBS News, CBS Sports, Paramount+, Pluto TV from smart TVs, phones, tablets. Remove CBS programming from any cloud DVR you may have. Avoid CBS programming wherever possible.
My family’s friendly with Adriana Diaz & her husband, the idea of someone who has that level of intellectual firepower being fired by a mediocrity like Bari Weiss is an insult to what I thought the country could be.

Well, crap, I might be ditching YouTube TV for Hulu Live, thanks to no ESPN or FX on YTTV. I was just checking Hulu's page and they have unlimited DVR now, which was a sticking point before.
