It was great to finally meet you after many years of #DerbyTwitter and then a couple more of #DerbyBlueSky (is that even a thing or is it still the old name)!
I had a surprise mini birthday party at Zeotrope in Tokyo tonight for my 40th birthday. We met two of my friends from BlueSky who also happened to be in Japan at the same time as us, @madeleinevasaly.com & @squiddyvicious.bsky.social and lots of delicious Japanese whisky was consumed.

Thinking back to when #DerbyTwitter caught wind of a skater deciding to make NFTs out of the likenesses of skaters to “help leagues” and we all had NONE OF IT. And when the creator was interviewed for some piece about her failed project, it was because we weren’t knowledgeable enough about them.

THEY'RE GOING TO ISSUE PERMANENT VISA BANS TO TRANS VISITORS TO THE US.
This isn't just for athletes. The directive as stated applies to all visa applications made by trans folks and declare it material fraud to use a different gender marker on applications.
