#cuttings
Drop off plants you no longer want and try your hand at something new. Or share your cuttings and starts with other like minded people and talk about plants!

Planting supplies and books also welcome.

No sick or infected plants please.

Hi! I have a bunch of props and I’m not sure what I should do with them. The 4 monstera cuttings in the beginning all have such a healthy root system after 5 months of being in water. I was planning …

Spent the morning working on some shoreline restoration with Catawba Riverkeeper!
This stretch was eroded rapidly from Hurricane Helene, and now has live cuttings and seeds scattered for stability. Love helping with restoration projects like this!

Mathilde, the easiest Hoya

Delightful fragrance if a bit old-fashioned. Rooted this from 2 one node cuttings about six months ago, and I’ve pretty much neglected it. It’s bulletproof. by Guenone

cabinet so far a very big success as most of the plants in there are pushing out new leaves (and lots of roots on the cuttings)

Cum Dumpster the snail passed away a few weeks ago, but her legacy lives on thru her great grand children. Using this tank to grow out some anubias so its a bit ugly atm. This tank keeps making eroded shells so I'm trying to get the calcium and water flow up. Spider plant pup is happy tho. #pets

I took a few cuttings before and just put them in a small vase with water and they all rooted after a few months. Seems to be a really robust plant to propagate.

The parent basil died but I saved 3 cuttings before it succumbed, & this is the only 1 of those to make it to rooting & trying to make more leaves.

Poinsettia nearly died too before I discovered my ring light I used for manicures & etsy shop stock photography also apparently works as a grow light.

Back to the regularly scheduled non-political programming. Today im goint to take a bunch of Japanese Maple cuttings off of Thetis (one of my parents' trees) and put them in trays to grow into a new generation of trees for niwaki and bonsai

i hate when people bring up that frodo & co can't actually go to valinor proper, only the little island. it's so vague, i pretend it's not real. he and sam are immortal and they have house parties and live forever in aman and sam gets to travel and collect plant cuttings.😌

Cuttings and seeds to cold stratify outside this weekend, plus some seeds to sow inside www.wildway.info/p/seeds-and-... for paid subscribers but at £26/yr people say it’s good value, especially now it includes a 2hr online workshop each season too 💞
Seeds and cuttings to grow in winter

My Nanna taught me to make cuttings so you can rip them out and replace every few years for free. Dead easy, find a spike with no flower stalk about 10cm pull last few leaves off, push into compost and leave outside somewhere for a few months, some die some make it!
