It’s a tricky and complex situation as they need to show ICE acting lawlessly, disproportionately, defying TRO etc. and have the masses believe that ICE are the criminals (who are not targeting criminals), to be able to act in a way that’s meaningful.

They want to but then if police don’t all follow orders to stop ICE that has the outcome of making people more afraid there are now *confirmed* no guard rails & citizens in other states see this & don’t try to resist because it seems pointless, which rapidly accelerates Trump’s plan.

I think the worry is if he tries to call their bluff & then the cops don’t play ball & instead give allegiance to ICE/Trump that could manifest the tinderbox situation Trump is itching for, which will escalate violence against citizens.

It’s a complex situation not giving Trump that trigger

Behavioural science to identify population networks. Framing of content fed to those networks. Framing which aligns with existing beliefs & capitalises on behavioural biases.
