Nov 3 is traditionally celebrated as Hubertus Day in Germany, honoring St. Hubertus, the patron saint of hunters. It serves as a reminder that #hunting is a service to nature, accompanied by far-reaching responsibilities & emphasizes the importance of respecting wildlife & acting with fairness.

Tea season started!
Normally I make my own tea blends, but I always like to get some tea calendars for December to try out new types of tea. 🍵

AI is going to make Woozles at record speeds, generating semi-correct or fully hallucinated content that is then ingested again & strengthens the incorrect information.

This "reification-by-accretion" process will poison the value of future models, which now have Woozle-fied training sets.
AI-Generated Data Can Poison Future AI Models
As AI-generated content fills the Internet, it’s corrupting the training data for models to come. What happens when AI eats itself?

I'm absolutely in love with these paintings by Karl-Hans Boese.
Sadly they aren't available as prints, only as plates which have been made in 1991 & 1992. 🐦

Is there anyone who can confirm that this channel is not using AI, because from looking through all their stuff it seems very much like it is only that.
There are the typical AI distortions in some of the songs, no credits/links to vocalists or artists. Nothing.

The future looks very dark.

If people already refuse to use their brains for EXTREMELY SIMPLE THINGS like these, you know what will happen when it comes to actually complex and critical tasks, and the amount of people who use AI are not a minority.
I cannot stop laughing. This is so indicative of what's wrong with these AI people and how they view art
He ran into a wall where the "make art" button wasn't satisfying because it wasn't actually making good enough art, and instead of trying new things he just requests a stronger button

Opened the first jar of fermented red cabbage that I made last year.
Slightly chewy and has a really mild flavor combared to white cabbage.

HP wants to cut about 6,000 jobs by 2028 and replace its workers with AI.

As if their products weren't already bad enough.😅

1/4🕯️Got a 5kg box of candles for ~16 bucks.
It was labeled as "leftovers" but only one candle had been lit. I'm assuming they have been found in someone's attic, because some of them were still in the original packaging and had labels from the 80s/90s on them.

1/5 There are a handful of people I check out regularly on social media, and like 1/3 of their posts are responses to people asking "Where did you buy this?" nowadays.

The things their followers are asking about are not even unique or special in most cases. Just plain, overpriced stuff.

The new #Pokemon Z-A is actually pretty good. I really enjoy the real time combat and quests, but I understand if it's too stressful for some people. It does have some flaws, but the majority of them can be overlooked. Also turns out most of the reviews cover only like the first 1 hour of the game.🤦‍♀️

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Jay-Z/Linkin Park "Collision Course"

Loved that album back in the day.
Might actually still have it somewhere. 😅

To summarize #gamedev work in one word atm:

(Sometimes I am convinced there are tiny gremlins sitting in our machines that *really* enjoy messing with us and leaving us clueless.)

We had a nice autumn morning with sunshine today - although way too warm for this time of the year.
Had to go out to run some errands, and noticed I really needed that little walk.
