The honest answer is thay its highly contextual, but I think its safe to say under most contexts, no.

That specific sub-genre of colonial island British boys adventure stories doesn't exist anymore. William Golding murdered it with an axe and buried the body out back.
It outlasted the genre it was satirizing.
There's a greater degree of contextual separation here, I reckon.

My search history would concern a therapist. It delights my editor. The difference between concerning and excellent research is entirely contextual. Methods of death, psychological torture, human pain thresholds. All for fiction.

Age (and ageism) is such a contextual thing 😅
A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.
A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

This is very very worrying . The Panorama profile of Trump was 100% accurate in its tenor but is being falsely represented as fake news because of one minor contextual edit
The right is on the march and all decent people should be concerned

Impossible task. Language is so fluid and contextual and there's no tech that can do a passably good job at understanding it for moderation. Human review is impossible at scale because of cost. And humans are genuinely awful when given a thin veneer of anonymity.
Social is hard, y'all.

Anyway. That’s all I’ve got to say about this. Languages are contextual, they require more than just direct literal translation: they require understanding the how and why of a given word usage.

I've not read report yet, but Witness.org is working to address the existential risk of GenAI to reporting on war crimes, drone attacks, human rights violations, etc.
Part of the answer is more contextual info in videos - e.g. weather, neighbouring buildings - to corroborate

Also, just to be fair and clear, getting the persons name and role wrong is NOT unimportant. Accuracy IS important, for many different reasons e.,g, (historical, contextual).
I also appreciate the take on how correcting errors is more difficult than accepting errors just to be first to publish.

Writing about Australian history and aiming for an international journal, so having to include a lot more contextual detail about everything than what one might need if discussing North American or UK/European stuff. Making my word count higher!
2. Australia and New Zealand history doesn’t have to justify its relevance for a wider audience to be published in a journal published in US or Europe

It’s alright. I think it might just be contextual. Inasmuch as silence has reigned, it still often does. In my experience, in spaces I run in, there’s still lots of not-noticing and not-mentioning. But it’s ambivalent. It’s not just the paranoid hunt to clear the ranks and change society.

What makes a neurolinguistics experiment worth pursuing? Nevia Dolcini & colleagues propose two axes of pursuitworthiness standing in an asymmetric relationship: methodological (thresholds for epistemic adequacy) & pragmatic (contextual priorities) 👇📃 link.springer.com/article/10.1... #philsci #HPS
