Lots of waders around Dowlais this morning. A wonderful display by 1000s of Dublin . They looked like a shoal of flying sardines at times! Also 33 Grey Plovers with a few Knot thrown in for good measure. Best of all was meeting fellow Birders @doodlebeth.com and Daz for the first time.

Is this actually the Jenolan bridge?

The ship has a standard bridge module, but the set is such a strange shape that wouldn't fit.

I think its an axillary control room - it has an area for piloting/command, areas for various consoles (possibly engineering control), and a transporter.

In addition to scent & color, the shape of the flowers is likely attractive to flies (Diptera). On A. tricaudata (“3 tails”), the long attenuate lobes of the perianth are probably fly attractants. Flies, it seems, like that sort of thing. #TropicalBotany #Aristolochiaceae #Botany 🌾🧪🌱

Have you heard the one about the fly that walked into a flower?
When a pollen-bearing fly enters the flower of an Aristilochia (like this A. samarensis), the journey is 1-way: Downward-pointing hairs prevent escape. The flower is in the female phase, so the stigma picks up the pollen from the fly.

Think I might be making Twitter an axillary social account until more VI regulations are in place. Still on here due to certain people, groups, and such but definitely not gonna post channel links or own art images anymore. Gonna need to go to either Discord or BSky (for now).

Research shows melatonin supports the glymphatic system, which clears metabolic waste and toxins from the brain. Acting as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, it helps remove neurotoxins like amyloid-β.

had tissue-level analysis done to examine which cells took up the mRNA-LNPs. If you guessed it was predominantly antigen-presenting cells that took them up (as has been shown in every study looking at this question), you would be right. Interestingly, some uptake was also seen in B cells.

These findings suggest that patients with BC of a diameter equal to or smaller than 2 cm and a negative result on preoperative axillary lymph node ultrasonography can be safely spared any axillary surgery whenever the lack of pathological information does not affect the postoperative treatment plan.

So, does #POCUS have a role in assessing it. Of course it does!🤷‍♂️😂

We use 3 probe positions:

1) Mid axillary/RUQ point - marker 12 O’clock
2) Mid clavicular/Subcostal - marker 12 O’clock
3) Mid clavicular/subcostal - marker 3 O’clock

In unbranched palms, the axillary buds are inflorescences. A few palms, like this Wettinia praemorsa, make serial inflorescences in each axil, but the buds are collateral (side by side), not superposed. Very unusual. 📷: ProAves Colombia CCBYNCSA2. #Arecaceae #buds #Botany #TropicalBotany 🌾🧪🌱

🎗️ Completion axillary lymph node dissection (cALND) is often performed after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) when low-volume disease is found in the sentinel or target lymph node.

Interestingly, lymph nodes (LN) from mice bearing early stage tumors were 20-25% less receptive to invasion than LN from naive mice! Chemokine signaling was not reduced, leaving the mechanism of protection an open question, as well as why the protection presumably fails at later tumor stages.
