Sometimes I ask myself 'how sweet is actually too sweet?' while rereading what I've written (it mostly feels *too* sweet), but not today because good ol' fluff is what I need the most now.

“What’s gotten into you?” Alamein whispers into his lips with a grin when they finally break the kiss. “Nothing,” he says quickly and then pauses to think. He’s not sure he can put into words everything he feels, but he still searches, vainly, around his blank, pleasantly hazy mind. Predictably, he doesn’t come up with anything, and he just sighs. “I just… I love you, you know that?” Alamein bites his lower lip on a giggle.“Yeah, kinda figured that with all the kissing we’ve been doing recently.” Madigan laughs and presses his face to the side of Alamein’s neck. “Thank you for coming here with me, though. I know it’s stupid. The library is the least exciting place I could take you to, but—” “Hey.” Alamein hooks a finger under his chin and lifts up his head. “Not stupid, ‘kay? Don’t say that. Nothing is stupid about you, Mads.” “Okay,” he says timidly. “Sorry.” Alamein pecks him on the lips. “Don’t be. I love it here. Feels cosy. And now I have a card!” He giggles like a maniac. “I haven’t had a library card since… Fuck, I think I’ve never had a library card in my life! Can you imagine that?” “No, I actually can’t,” Madigan says honestly, and they both laugh.

Ed spends Sunday in the Park with Stede. (Not La Grande Jatte though. The Bois de Boulogne.)

Once the tension’s broken, the afternoon settles into something mellow and golden, full of music, idle chatter, and wine. Stede gets out his sketchbook, seemingly inspired by their surroundings, which even Ed has to admit that the park on the verge of summer is beautiful. It’s not just the bright green foliage, which Stede exclaimed about when they first arrived, but the water by which they’ve set themselves up. There’s a slight breeze ruffling the surface at times, mercifully relieving the heat, but most of the time it’s a glassy mirror of the blue skies and puffball clouds above. The whole area is dotted with picnickers in their Sunday best, eating and drinking and laughing. Stylish couples promenade by in their linen suits and silk dresses—slowly, the better to see and be seen, of course. Ed’s not sure he’s ever experienced a day before that, at the end of his life, he’ll recall as idyllic, until now. If he remembers one day at the end of it all, let it be this one, with the warm sun and Stede laughing by his side. If he were a painter, he’d try to capture this tableau; maybe that’s what Stede intends, as he seems to be filling page after page of his sketchbook. Ed likes the idea of this day living on, painted on canvas, for people to enjoy once they’re all long gone. Stretching out by Stede’s side so that his knee can unbend, Ed lets himself fall back on his elbows and eventually flat on his back, with his jacket to cushion his head. Frenchie starts to improvise a song about being afraid of cats, which maks everyone laugh. Ed listens with heavy eyelids and a smile. It’s nice to just be here; Ed hasn’t felt this relaxed in ages, if ever. His eyes drift closed, as the banjo and chatter lull him almost to asleep.

Ed shut him up with a fierce kiss, pulling Stede in with all the fervor of a man starving, and Stede's lips was his first meal in ages. His brain went silent for a moment, letting the blue wash of the living room gently lull him into a quiet corner of his mind as Ed pushed him back into the couch, his fingers fumbling over the obnoxious button fly of his jeans. His brain booted back online and suddenly he remembered why they ended up in the back of his auxiliary wardrobe. Ed let out a frustrated groan against Stede's mouth and he couldn't help but grin at how endearing he found it. Ed finally pulled away from their kiss, looking down at Stede's pants with open disdain. "What the actual fuck is with your pants?" "Lucius picked them out." "Well, apparently he hates you and doesn't want you to get your dick sucked because these are fuckin' impossible, man!" Stede laughed and slid his hands down along Ed's back, savoring the solid heat beneath his fingers, the muscles toned and taut as Ed arched into the touch. "I think I may have a better idea," Stede said, continuing his journey charting the planes of Ed's back. Lower and lower he went, the ridges of the fishnet giving way to soft, supple leather until his hands were wrapped around Ed's thighs. He gripped tight, planting his feet and braced himself before surging forward to capture Ed in another kiss, hauling the both of them off the couch in one shockingly swift movement. Ed let out a surprised "oh!" against his mouth and locked his legs around Stede's waist, arms tightening on his neck instinctively. Stede swallowed the exclamation with a swipe of his tongue before breaking the kiss, resting his forehead against Ed's.

body text reads Ten minutes later when he drags Jeongguk into an empty side room, rips off his mask, and catches the other princes mouth in a seering kiss he knows it was the latter. “Impatient much?” Jeongguk asks. “Fucking hell.” Jimin groans as a response. There’s not a lot of conversation after that, and it goes unspoken but they both know they don’t have much time before one of their attendants comes looking for them. But Jimin is a man with a dream and a lot of suppressed hormones and impulses, so when Jeongguk’s hands find his ass a few seconds into their kiss, he responds by jumping and wrapping both legs around the other mans waist and whispering, “You wanna fuck me against the wall?” It is a very bad, very improper, and very impulsive question, and when he asks it a little thrill shoots through him, and from Jeongguk's answering grin the dragon prince likes the idea just as much. “Mask on or off?” The Dragon Prince asks as he carries Jimin further into the room and pins him against a wall. Jimin looks up, sees the way Jeongguk’s eyes blaze gold behind the mask, and replies, “On, please.” “There’s no lock on the door,” Jeongguk points out even as he grinds forward and presses his hard cock to Jimin’s, “someone could walk in.” “Better be quick, then,” Jimin gasps as teeth dragon down his throat, “you can take your time with me later tonight.”
