#Knitsky If only all sweater knitting projects came with a ‘self-knit’ button… 😂There would be no more sleeve island! (But where would the fun be in that, right?)

#Knitsky Which colour would you choose from our Deas collection?

And what would you knit with it?

#Knitsky meet my Dalchini Hat which has double-layered ear flaps! Perfect for long walks, chilly commutes, or just looking ridiculously cosy.

Who else is all about hats that double as ear warmers?

When I first started knitting in the round, I was constantly second-guessing myself with the length of circular needles I needed.

Too short, too long… it always felt like a guessing game. 🙃

A couple of weeks ago I ran a couple workshops with Celtic Journeys & Max Penxa… and walked in to see so many knitters wearing Stolen Stitches knits!
A sewn bind-off is great for sock knitting! 😊
It’s a great one to control the tension with.
One of our amazing community members, Kristin, asked:

“What’s everyone’s favourite bind-off for toe-up socks?”

Great question! I’m a fan of Jeny’s Stretchy Bind-Off, as the name says, it’s super stretchy, making it perfect for sock cuffs.

How about you? 👇
It’s never as bad as we think it is! You’ve got me very curious what kind of a haircut you got…..
😃. It’s actually easier to knit from a cake then a pre-wound ball which is more likely to fall apart.
New tutorial alert! 🎥

I’m sharing how to use a yarn swift and ball winder, two simple knitting tools that make winding your skeins into neat, ready-to-knit cakes a total breeze.

If you haven’t tried them yet, this video might just convince you!

#Knitsky, have you tried double knitting?

I first dipped in with a belt in my Contemporary Irish Knits book, then the Chroi cardigan belt… just scratching the surface!

Now with Winter Seasons Club, I’m exploring two-colour double knitting with Eimear’s design.

A knitting repair tool! I received a little metal one as a prize in a KAL, and I use it so much! When googling what to call it (I call it a fix-it tool, but that seems to be the one with a latch), I found that you have a YouTube video to show how they can be used:

Ok, now I’m curious… what do you think is the most underrated knitting tool? 🤔

The one you can’t live without but hardly anyone talks about?
Two-colour knitting can feel like wrestling spaghetti at times🍝 … but that’s where a yarn guide comes in!

It keeps strands neat, makes tension easier, and saves your patience so, I’ve put together a quick tutorial to show you how to use it. #knitsky #knittingtool

Monday inspiration! 🌈

Liz shared her beautiful, finished Stave Sweater, and I’m in love with her bright colour choices.

What colours would you knit this in #knitsky?
