It honestly never occurred to me until now anyone WOULD just make that leap.

Time to revise my opinion of humanity downward yet again.

What's below Pellucidar?

It is, but it's kind just keep coming to search for it in the lake, howling its name in foggy nights. They enter the lake by squeezing through a crack at its bottom from Pellucidar, driven there through a portal from a secret nazi base at the dark side of the moon, robots built there to confuse us.

I'd watch it if it were "Cleaning Dr Perry's Iron Mole after a successful return from Pellucidar" but then I'd be sad it wasn't Peter Cushing as Perry...

I loved the Mars books, Caprona/Caspak, and Pellucidar. I never made it to Tarzan, but I highly recommend all three of the former series

Pal-ul-don vs Pellucidar?

Started Tarzan the Terrible, in which our jungle hero quickly find himself in a fantastical hidden land. One of the pithecanthropus refers to it as Pal-ul-don, a completely different fictional kingdom than Pellucidar, which is a “hollow Earth” lost world, right?

I just finished one of ERB's Pellucidar novels, where the inner world of the earth's core is always in daylight, so surface people can't measure time.

I think Spring and Devis have just spent six weeks on the Pellucidar, if anyone is interested... maybe it's just me. 🙈

"The Mound" (1940) unequivocally contains monsterfucking elements; in many ways a continuation of several themes Lovecraft had been developing as well as a commentary or pastiche of Edgar Rice Burrough's Pellucidar. The degenerate civilization has gone all-in on group marriage ("affection groups"),

@andr3wsmith.bsky.social The Sins of the Father audiobook states that Nathan Spring has barely been in his apartment for the last "four and a half years". Do we reckon that's since An Instinct for Murder. Mars is two years? The Pellucidar takes 6 months in The Stuff of Life just one way? #StarCops

The same edition was my first as well. I found it in the middle school library and the cover blew my mind. I found out it was #2 only during the read. B. Dalton had them all in stock and eventually I had them all, as well as Tarzans and a Pellucidar book—but Barsoom was my favorite.
This was my introduction to Barsoom when I was a kid. They didn't have a copy of the first one at B. Dalton that day so I started with the second in the series. I caught on pretty quick. Still have it and love that Gino D' Achille cover.

"Land of Terror" is a thrilling dive into Burroughs' Pellucidar! It's fascinating how he blends action with speculative ideas. "I am a savage!" - a reminder of our primal instincts. 🪐📚 What’s your
