You're an RTW parkrunner so a little mud shouldn't scare you! 😜
January 10, 2026 at 1:44 PM
😂 photos of the mud or we don't believe you!
Were the cows out too? This parkrunner is yet to see them but we love that on certain weeks they have a dedicated "cow marshal"!

parkrun HQ have launched a new campaign: I am a parkrunner. The message is simple yet powerful, anyone can be a parkrunner and can inspire others to get active. Bring along your friends and family to Whitstable juniors next Sunday 11th January, or join us as a volunteer for the first time.

Heaton Park parkrun, with a new PB!
Never thought I'd become a Parkrunner but here we are. Life is full of surprises.

A gentleman with surname of Cowell was first parkrunner to attend 100 separate venues.

So, attending 100 (50) separate parkrun events has become known as a Cowell (half Cowell).

Back on 3rd August I ran my first ever 5k with Travel Actively Barrow as part of the ‘Walk this Way Festival’. Since then I’ve become an active parkrunner and when I finished this morning’s #parkrun I spotted two of the lovely people I ran with that day back in August!

I got a PB for this year in today’s Parkrun 🤔 Mind you I was overtaken by a bloke in a dinosaur costume in the finishing straight. He must have been the only one warm out there today. I hope every Parkrunner and volunteer have a great 2026.

Oh fantastic! Happy New Year!

You're a parkrunner AND a Yarncrafter??? The latter is new information!! 🥰🥰

I’m up for #Parkrun again, for hopefully the second time of four times between now and next Sunday. Also I’ve just noticed the great 5K mobile app is an official Parkrun app now!

Can confirm this is good for everyone - as an occasional parkrunner, there is no greater motivation than Don't Come Second To The Pram-Pusher.

The Rime of the Ancient Parkrunner: Frost, not fatigue, meant my 5K was 3:02 slower today than on Christmas Day. Managed not to do the splits. This was an event with over 400 participants, yet I somehow managed to be the only person in this photo.

Well quite. I have to say that if FWS take on parkrun I shall be outside whatever court with my little sign indicating total support of inclusion.

It hurts my soul to know that a trans parkrunner could see his shitty sign and feel excluded. It's not who we are.

Wow Melbourne - Studley #Parkrun is the prettiest I've ever done (21 venues, 6 countries). And photos were a great reason to stop and catch my breath!

Well, it's good to have an interest if you're a beer making, cheese scoffing, music consuming, sports shirt buying parkrunner.

My wallet will hopefully take care of it in short bursts.

This has been posted by the team who run Whinlatter Forest #parkrun over on their Facebook page.

Appalling that anyone would act like that during an activity that is supposed to be fun.

Found out new boss is also a parkrunner. We have made a bet, when I get my 100, he is going to buy me the milestone t-shirt, that's a bet I will win!

We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Oak Hill parkrunner Gar Yin Tang (pictured below left).

We'll pay tribute to her in the morning.

Remember not to park in East or West Walk, but use the car parks in the park or on Osidge Lane.

We look forward to seeing you all.

Fabulous! She’s leading by example, are you a parkrunner? Maybe see you at manor fields soon?

Well done to all you winter weather sickos who made it out on Saturday. We had 26 runners and walkers and 1 parkrunner snagged a new personal best.

Congratulations to Hannah who became just the 7th Joe Creason parkrunner to complete 100 parkruns!
December 17, 2025 at 1:15 AM
This Saturday we'll celebrate Hannah's 100th parkrun. She started her parkrun journey at Charleston WV parkrun back in Mar 2019, but is a Joe Creason parkrunner through and through. Bundle up and help us celebrate! Our bodies were made to move in all types of weather & yours is no exception!

As a Parkrunner, it's sobering that the man who won the London Marathon last year did kilometres 30-35 faster than the Parkrun world record.

Our last of 6 parkruns in November saw 41 runners and walkers join us for a 5K jaunt in the park. We had an incredible 14 personal bests and 2 people had their barcodes scanned for the very first time.

Congrats to Aaron V who is the latest to join the 25 milestone club. See you all next week!
