I just blocked a local musician I'd been following whose response to an anon-opin post and those people who engaged with him about it revealed him to be shockingly contemptuous. I've hidden his music in my Bandcamp collection as well.

Fantastic news for me! I have not only passed my Grade 8 piano exam, but done so with Merit. I thought it was touch and go because my nerves made me tremble so badly on the day, but this is wonderful. I wish I could tell my mum. She'd have been overjoyed.

I've been enjoying "Coldwater" as a kind of almost-horror thriller-farce, with the cherry on the top being the realisation that Andrew Lincoln and Ewen Bremner together means I'm watching Egg and Spud. It's like a nineties farm shop.

Just watched "Nil By Mouth", finally. There's some beautiful photography, which I savoured while I could, in between the depiction of the effects of alcohol and heroin on the people close to users, which are authentically tragic.

"Terror of the Zygons" concludes less distinctly than it began with Part Four adeptly resolving things. While watching, one gets a sandpit, and a brutalist basement, but the whole serial is sealed with a beautiful farewell back in the highlands.

We all bounce between obligations, frequently self-imposed. 5K race and grade 8 piano exam behind me, I feel relaxed and spontaneous today, running a Parkrun and playing my piano pieces for sheer fun. It won't last long, and that's fine, but I'm learning to relish it.

I took my Grade 8 piano exam earlier today. Probably a pass, we think, but I'll find out for sure in a few weeks. I managed to leave the anxiety explosions in the places they happened, reset, and move on, and get through the rest of it.
