I just had my weekly teletherapy session via zoom on my phone and started to take my therapist on a tour of my apartment to look for my glasses when kindly informed me they were on my head. (I had taken them off to read; I need bifocals but the ophthalmologist thought we could away without them.)

Set priorities, own decisions when forging career in medicine
When building a career as a young ophthalmologist, there are no rules or set paths. In the inaugural episode of Steeped Insights, a video blog series produced by Women in Ophthalmology and Healio, host Karen Chen, MD, of The Permanente Medical Group, and cohost Andrea L. Kossler, MD, FACS, of Stanford University and Byers Eye Institute, sat down with Andrea Tooley, MD, of Mayo Clinic. Over a cup of tea, they discussed Tooley’s early use of social media and blogging to inspire young people to pursue careers in medicine by “pulling back the curtain” on life as a medical student. {{VIDEO}} In

At least you'll be able to tell the ophthalmologist exactly where it came from, which most of us are unable to do when we get an eye infection

Wait. Why didn't they yell and call him a failed ophthalmologist?
under questioning by Rand Paul, ICE officials confirm that yelling at officers is not assault and recording officers is not a crime

Yeah. They mention that an engagement to an ophthalmologist ended. She seems to have had a normal life right up until the time she became a member of the Cult.

Lawyer call went ok. We agreed that one more follow up with the ophthalmologist works probably be best to cement the case..

So now I’m waiting on the eye institute to call me back

I haven't had it done, but I did have an optometrist recommend a cosmetic ophthalmologist rather than a dermatologist, so multiple opinions might be a good idea.

There's what Bertrand Russell might call a type difference here. An example:

"When to review a fact for best memorizing" and "what the fact means in context" are two vastly different levels, separated by more levels. Comparing them is not meaningful.

I have no clue how things work here nowadays, but way back then, we had to find the optician from whom to buy the glasses ourselves. Once I had the prescription from the pediatric ophthalmologist, my Dad found a reasonable place. He was a taxi driver, so he knew everyone. The glasses they had were

Going for my Novavax booster tomorrow. I have a follow up on the 20th with my ophthalmologist who now puts on a cheap mask now. She doesn’t wear one otherwise. She thinks this works.

I was able to get an emergency appointment with an ophthalmologist on Monday. Turns out that my eye and its retina is okay! This just happens as someone ages and the eye goes through changes. It will get better! In summary, the good news is....I'm just old.

Thanks for this. Super helpful! I had an ophthalmologist who wanted to make my right eye my dominant eye in cataract surgery. I canceled the surgery because I felt like she had the wrong eye. Turns out she did! Now I know which one is dominant.

Went to the ophthalmologist to look at a small hole in my eye. Didn’t really know what to expect.

They numbed & lasered it same day & I was not prepared. I must have looked terrified cause the doc kept reassuring me I was ok. But I literally watched my eyesight disappear as my eye got burned 😖
