#Modération
It would do some linear combination of these across the internet:
a) mass deletion of posts from, among others, the kind of people who want to see §230 eliminated
b) no moderation at all — enjoy your nazi porn spambots!

Ignore the auto moderation above! there's no nudity! just some shirtless shots!

Remembered this post when looking into the Brigador situation and how moderation felt justified to cover for them in that scenario.

CONSTANTLY having to fight for my life in the appeals on here because THIS image was labeled as "Adult Content" meaning it contains "graphic sexual material" by bsky moderation instead of the label I ALREADY APPLIED TO IT which was Artistic Nudity which is WHAT IT IS, is incredibly frustrating.

OTOH, comprehensive, centralized tracking of MoCs is a must.

Online forum structure, each MoC has a membership, staff can also post. NOT social media, *forum*. Structure and moderation.

‘MoC’ because there is no reason not to hold an extra hundred pairs of feet to the fire. It’s about removal.

moderation here is 100% transmisogynistic at the very least

yeah, trans women's sfw selfies get marked as adult on here by the auto moderation sometimes and then the users here do not care about trans women at all
December 17, 2025 at 3:42 AM
the question, of course, is whether it can be made to cover your areola enough to technically count as no longer nude for moderation purposes
December 17, 2025 at 3:34 AM
lol hell yeah
December 17, 2025 at 3:30 AM
My thoughts on this person in particular would subject me to Bsky’s moderation.

Some hearts must learn love in moderation, embracing what is lawful to make submission meaningful. Others must learn restraint to keep obedience clean. 🌿

Idc how much money I have, I will always love certain low tier foods just as much as my fancy dinners.

Like a chicken Maruchan Ramen Noodle? Omfg. Fuck yeah.

Despite this body, I truly eat whatever I want.

It’s called moderation, duh!! There’s plenty of meat and veggies on my yoga mat bread. 🥖🤣

Yeah jesus like, I don't think Twitter would ever be viable again unless there were a full change of management and a massive overhaul in moderation
December 17, 2025 at 3:01 AM
It's one thing to hate me for an opinion.

But to genuinely say that i, an Arab, would side with the genocidal state killing my people is the biggest form of disrespect I've ever seen.

Y'all, be wary when sub to some lists, their creators are usually not fit for such a moderation role.

that's bad alt-text.

@jazz report them here

Every day they are not explaining how they are going to make their moderation more transparent and fair is another day wasted.

The Moderation Gap
In Maine, a statewide win almost always requires winning over unenrolled voters, who make up about a third of the electorate.

"Adult content" Moderation on a role aren't they?
December 17, 2025 at 2:29 AM
I dont think constantly jumping platform to platform is solving anything because corporations will never truly make you feel safe on public social media and we need to address the issue of how we have no agency over our data, protection, or moderation but. i snagged a handle because i'm an ass

Moderation on Bluesky is impossible. The ROI is abyssmal. I think almost weekly about leaving. I read an article today about Twitter-style platforms dying.
December 17, 2025 at 2:22 AM
What moderation are you trying to explain that we haven’t seen before? Generalities are NOT acceptable, and if you can’t give any details we are just going to have to disagree with you as people who work and study this industry and have seen it all, and seen badly proposed laws cause more trouble.
December 17, 2025 at 2:19 AM
to me bsky seems like largely a dandelion to seed the "ATmosphere" and thus a test bed for "actual apps at scale"

"how to formalize moderation at big world scale?"

"what problems appear getting buy in from institutions?"

becoming disenfranchised w bsky and leaving w your data is partly the idea
December 17, 2025 at 2:18 AM
Your goal is moderation. That’s clear 1A prior restraint and has additional legal burden if you try something like “community standard” (see book banning for example of litigation).
Age verification is also 1A but… we are kinda doing it in some states. Also easily defeated and hard to scale.
December 17, 2025 at 2:18 AM
Sooooometimes it's an actual friend shitposting, so I wouldn't rely on automated moderation on that basis, but yeah it's broadly pretty good.
