So it turns out a single one of those brown regular-strength Ibuprofen caplets, fallen under a stove burner, will smoke like crazy, catch on fire a little bit, and make your whole house smell like that kinda medicine-y but sweet taste they have. :/
My dog is pretty annoyed by this catastrophe. :P

Watching old furcon & dance comp videos and I love that there are ones 8, 10, 12+ years old that I still think are awesome but at the same time it's crazy to think how much time has passed, like the people in these vids are all a decade older now, and me too.

This is wrapping up in a few hours if anybody was still thinking about doing it. Some of the covers / art prints look preeeetty nice!
Went to the store. Thought about buying carrots for a stew. Decided not to since I knew I had carrots at home and was like 90% sure they'd still be in good shape.
Came home. No carrots. Used 'em all up and forgot.
Whyyyyy didn't I just spend the $3 or whatever just to be sure? :C

Overcoming that initial 'getting started' hump is the hardest part of a lot of things, for me.
I've come to appreciate the idea that you don't have to wait until New Year to start new things, and, in fact, the holidays - where you are likely to have extra time off - are a great time for it.

In Zootopia 2 and Bad Guys 2, I feel like they let characters be like, 'real'-feeling, adult, people, compared to the the first movies being more, yanno, "toons". Not a huge change, but noticeable.

Every year I smell it and think, "Oh that seems like it's gonna be delicious" and I eat two or three bites and remember, "Oh yeah I hate this. The taste, the texture, everything about it." and I nudge it into a sad pile at the edge of the plate and am done with stuffing until next year.

TBH most streaming services I just rewatch a couple-few things.
Noticing more often I get messages that my stream quality is being downgraded, even watching on supported, up-to-date browsers.
Already got a mostly-empty 14TB NAS. A spare PC running Ubuntu. 🤔

People think getting 'cold nosed' by their dog is bad, but y'all oughta get a dog with a beard. My giant schnauzer gets a drink and then comes and puts his chin on my arm to say hello. Like getting slapped with a big ol' fence-painting paintbrush full of water. 😭
