Perhaps no cultural institution in Thedas has done solar symbolism as extensively as the Orlesian Chantry.

The Chantry's symbol is a sun. It represents the Chantry's goal of universal conversion: the Maker will return "if all lands under the sun" sing the Chant (DA Wiki: Orlesian Chantry).
