#FFFG
Why is Met Éireann being blamed for the bad planning, the lack of services,
the lack of flood preparation, climate inaction…all the stuff the GOVERNMENT is in charge of??

#FFFG has been in power for the past 10+ years & they’re shirking their responsibility 🤦🏾‍♀️

So out of touch with the lived experience of far too many people (majority?).

So who’s he (fffg) been fed by?
Micheál Martin is embarrassing here ("you just hate the private sector!"), & it's all in response to the opposition pointing out extremely basic facts. Rents WILL go up due to new legislation, the Housing Minister has admitted as much! Presented with basic facts & he throws a classic Micheál strop
The exchange between the Taoiseach and the Sinn Féin leader prompted Ceann Comhairle Verona Murphy to appeal for a "respectful" debate, given that the visitors' gallery was full.

#FFFG always at it. Never not harming society, esp. people needing homes with affordable rents 🤦🏾‍♀️

"Burke said it was about striking balance between ensuring there is capacity for the tourism sector and also bringing short-term lets in the major cities back into the rental market." Tourism eh? But there's nowhere for people working in that industry to rent or buy in rural Ireland. #SpéirGhorm
Government rows back on short-term let regulations for towns with populations over 10,000
The government has decided the restrictions will only apply to towns with a population of over 20,000.

I hope this €6K is worth it but think it is pathetic this scale of FFFG & Lowry lad's reaction to our flooding problem is so small. We need a strategic nature-aware response & not senior well-paid government politicians spending their time on photo opps.

Remember when our Taoiseach is giving a bowl of shamrocks to Trump on Paddy’s day that we’re dealing with a US administration that would have right wing FFFG removed as being too liberal and install the likes of racist & rapist McGreggor in their stead. And yet Micheál Martin will still attend

The Social Democrats have their conference & are streaming it live from Cork.

This party is my one bright hope for Ireland 🫶🏾👇🏾 ⭐️🇮🇪

As #FFFG dismantle social systems, JR, abscond from accountability etc. etc 🤦🏾‍♀️ I’m here to understand what SocDems plan for what’s possible 🙏🏾

If the SD's suggest they will prop up a FF, FG or FFFG government they will lose my vote. Under no circumstances will I give a vote that puts either of them back in government. I'd rather exercise my right to spoil my vote. The only way we can have change is to stop rewarding ineptitude.
February 6, 2026 at 7:57 PM
And if we're short-sighted enough to leave the EU, we'll be a vassal state of Britain and the US in the blink of an eye... and FFFG will be the happy little Vichy government.
February 6, 2026 at 3:28 PM
I think that 29% is a big part of why FFFG are still holding power. When folk realise that it's affecting all of society and thus them too personally... maybe we'll see a shift in momentum.

Equally excoriating & brilliant, SMcG helps connect the similar maladaptive #Labour & #FFFG response to being in power. It’s not good 🫠

“…the problem here is that we are…facing an attack on standard #HumanRights respecting norms from radical right wing propaganda.”

This week’s Gist is about how the U.K. Labour Party unknowingly has been blowing itself up by following Morgan McSweeney’s FG electoral instincts.

They don’t know the patterns, but we do.

The depressing thing is all the FFFG politicians are on Twitter where no doubt all the assholes and bots are saying "Yeah fuck those woke communist plebs on bikes, kill them all, cars for everyone!" and so they think helmets and high viz is a great idea altogether lads we're on to a winner here!

FFFG have Ireland wrapped up like a Mafia job. But as long as people keep idiotically voting for them, what's to be done?
February 4, 2026 at 12:13 PM
As our EU partners step in to fill the gaps in Social Media moderation we do nothing.

Telling.

Our government does not have our back, from the commute to work, childcare, elder care, flood free streets to our time online…FFFG and the Rural Nazis care not a jot for us, or our quality of life.
Tech giants Meta, Google and TikTok are before the Oireachtas Media Committee today... as was long flagged, X has refused to take part.

X even went so far as to reject a written request from the Taoiseach to appear before the Committee.

There’s a fierce bang of Bannon & his ilk off this 🤢

Stay woke people. Resist this vile, racist agenda ✊🏽

⚠️Headline is deflecting.

Jesus wept at the unwillingness to accept responsibility for the power that granted to these ppl by the electorate.

The cheek of Govt. to stand in the traumatised presence of ppl they’ve failed time & time again & moan about magic wands.

Don’t deflect, #FFFG has had DECADES in power.

won't someone think of the poor large landlords etc.

it makes you wonder what it will take to make housing a constitutional right to balance this (a non–FFFG govt?)

and how did we become a country that simply accepts landlordism and the concept of propert as a marketplace (given our history)
