And it bears saying again that most transitioned adults are somewhere on the LGB spectrum anyway, so this argument says a lot about transphobic attitudes about LGB trans people.

We need to work on the adults first because far too many misogynistic attitudes exist in school adults. And that includes internalised misogyny that women use on other femme people who aren’t “valuable” in this society. The adults have to change first

There's million four million of us now. That's more than the population of several states. Far smaller social demographics have influenced social attitudes in the past. The reality is that we WERE changing social attitudes only a few years ago--and then media systematically began silencing us.

The issue is that Mamdani is already subject to a concerted smear campaign to label him as antisemitic. Appointing someone with even a hint of having ever had antisemitic attitudes just provides ammunition for his opponents

Labour knows this already. McSweeney and Co are privy to the most detailed research on voters attitudes and preferences. They *choose* to scapegoat refugees and ramp up anti-immigration rhetoric instead.

In addition to guffawing at the @nytimes.com desperate spin, I am also deeply amused that the guy who's been scolding Dems for our elitist sandwiches and ivory tower attitudes is just partying with billionaires at invite-only events. What a fucking fraudulent clown (this is not news, of course)

The Trump administration says the rule change is needed to ensure travelers entering the US “do not bear hostile attitudes.”

Civil-liberties groups warn it represents a major expansion of federal surveillance. Here's what to know ⬇️
How New Social Media Checks Would Change Travel to US
The US is seeking to significantly expand its vetting of social media accounts for people who want to enter the country. In 2019, during President Donald Trump’s first term, the US imposed a requirement that visa applicants disclose their social media accounts. The Department of Homeland Security now aims to apply a similar requirement to another group: travelers from countries such as the UK, Japan and Australia whose citizens can enter the US without a visa.
