Can't be overstated how much nerd-media internet in the early 00s had this exact voice. Mixture of South Park, EGM editorial and Seanbaby. Millenials trying on Gen X's sardonic detachment like their dad's oversized coat. All it's missing is a comment about which female character is "dead smexy"

Caught up on the last title update in Wilds. You know how they make airline pilots take a bunch of drug tests to ensure they're fit to fly? I think if you're a game developer they should monitor your FFXIV playtime. Make sure your faculties aren't impaired, you aren't hallucinating orange circles

When we talk about "twitch-based gameplay" there are two components to reaction time that we tend to conflate:
-Time between seeing a scenario, and deciding how to respond (blocking mixup in FG)
-Time between committing to your decision, and performing inputs to realize it (Shooting gallery/DDR)
-Time between seeing a scenario, and deciding how to respond (blocking mixup in FG)

Wonder if any action games lifted revenge values/desperation moves from KH2. Feels like the best idea that series had, an antidote to the "the answer to ever problem is to combo it relentlessly and dodgeroll/parry through anything thrown your way" doldrums. Enemies need comeback mechanics too!
