A little while ago we got ourselves a very tall and skinny bin, and today I finally got some sorting stickers for it!
We have three others for additional bin categories. I want to get some kind of crates or squat bins that will fit under our sink for those...

Yesterday we happened upon an elderly man walking his pet giant tortoise. They stopped for a snack and let me take a photo.

It's one thing to understand it. It's another to internalize it.
I've been getting a lot of help with both recently. 😌

(Diagrams by me because diagraming & documenting is a critical part of my internalization process.)

I know it's not Halloween anymore but I just finished this game and what a delight it was ❤️ highly recommend!
Spooky Express has just launched into Halloween and it's the perfect cozy-spooky puzzler for the long nights.

Take charge of the Spooky Express; the only rail service willing to carry the undead passengers of deepest, darkest Trainsylvania.

"Quality of Life Improvements" are sometimes a bad idea for your game. Don't round out your interesting edges because you're afraid a player will feel a hard feeling!

The Orphan Crusher is here to stay. If we don’t feed more Orphans to the Crusher the Orphan Crushing industry will die. It’s time to wake up to the reality of the Orphan Crusher. The Orphan Crusher is worth billions. We need to teach people to use the Orphan Crusher. It’s here to stay.

I can’t stress enough how utterly embarrassing it is to see experienced artists suddenly use AI

I can never have a shred of respect for someone who used to be a peer & who decided to embrace something that’s the opposite of any craft & any human endeavour

when people say genAI is the future I am struck by how short sighted and fatalistic this is as a concept

it’s recycling our past for the future, it’s drinking our filtered waste while not thinking about how many times you can do that, it’s hoping tomorrow’s answers have already been said

Seriously. Draw something. It’s fun. Who cares if it looks weird. Draw it again until you like what you’ve drawn. I’m still trying to get to that point.

Last Wednesday the newest bus tunnel in Brisbane was opened to pedestrians only, so @ironicaccount.bsky.social and I went! They even had a band playing Australian songs — we caught an AC/DC song and an orchestral version of the Bluey theme. :) We also grabbed many tasty snacks at the nearby market

Stuck in a scene? Do what the pros do: use brackets. Write what the story beat is:

[Our hero gets out of the fight through clever means]

Then just keep writing what happens after. Maintaining momentum is key to getting the most words on the page. Meanwhile solutions often present themselves later.
