ICE detain U.S. citizen for looking Somali—use illegal chokehold to tackle him to ground.

Man repeatedly begs agents to look at his digital passport ID—they refuse.

Drove him 7 miles away before releasing him alone into Minnesota snow storm—told him to "walk home" in freezing weather advisory.

It’s been two weeks since ICE took Yuanxin Zheng from his father. He is six years old. He’s still not home. This has to end.

My coteacher is Japanese-American, but has no interest in this period of history.

She made fun of the students mixing up L and R sounds. I just keep getting paired up with the worst Asians....
As we mark #PearlHarborDay, it’s worth remembering those whose suffering faded from view: Japanese Americans in Hawaii, many of whom were detained, displaced or denied full redress after the outbreak of war.

Their incarceration remains one of WWII’s most overlooked injustices.
The overlooked story of the incarceration of Japanese Americans from Hawaii during World War II
When US President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, he paved the way for the incarceration of Japanese Americans on the mainland and Hawaii

That last episode of Pluribus was brutal for Carol and the show continues to be unpredictable in a pleasant way.

The show does a good job of addressing her white woman misses, but I don't think I could get the others to like me either.

I bought my first tailored suit for jobhunting and my wallet hurts. Most parents buy their kids their first suit.

I'm not a fresh college grad, but looks are kind of everything in this society, so I had to dish the money out for this.

It was about 55,000 yen...

I remember when my one Singaporean ex-friend casually mentioned her grandma had an 18 year old "helper". Then I asked if this girl lived with her gma and if she had any intention of sending this poor girl to uni.

My friend thought that was absurd. The other day I learned 23 was the min age for a

I've never encountered more students who say they hate reading. Students who want to be teachers, writers, or both. I wonder if "hate" means "I have trouble reading," but I also talk with so many students who write in a genre but refuse to read in it. They can't see themselves in relation to others.
