I really hope Arshdeep Bains stays in Abbotsford for the rest of the season. He either needs to get a lot better or needs to be moved. He is not a regular NHL player at this point in his career.

Much like the decision to "improve" the trans-canada near MacKenzie in the CRD. Been going on years now, and when it is finally complete, if ever, the traffic will simply get worse to fill the additional capacity. This is compounded by Victoria pushing people west to afford to live.

Nice night walking around #CentennialSquare in the area last night, after a drink at Phillips Brewing.

This is probably the most lights and decorations I've put up in years, and likely just about the earliest as well. I guess I'm inspired by the decorations around our new neighborhood, and being in our new home.

No deaths in a year

That's pretty incredible, given the severity of the toxic drug crisis in BC this past decade
This club sold to 47 adult members and it seemed to work. After one year of operation members reported fewer overdoses, incidents with police, hospital visits, crime. There were no deaths.
Having a dedicated source of known potency and purity seemed to help stabilize people.

We live in a society awash in wealth. Big banks and big oil pull in tens of billions while public needs go unmet.

We need leaders willing to where the money is. A 1% tax on the wealthiest 1% could raise billions for strong, universal public services.

"Mounties say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene."

Nothing like reporting that the driver did the bare minimum they are legally required to do as though they are heroic or something.

This is basically right down the street from us.

When a single car crash can gridlock Greater Victoria, it shows the fragility of autocentricity.

Walkable neighborhoods, safe cycling routes, and rapid & reliable transit aren’t just nice-to-haves—they’re resilience. They give people options, cut congestion, and keep the city moving!
