This is all true. And the biggest danger Vance poses is that he is a walking skinsuit for the tech bros. Peter Thiel created his career. Elon Musk is one of his biggest boosters. If Vance is sitting in the Oval, the technofascists will wield an amount of power that will dwarf anything we've seen.

One reason I think it unlikely he would commit suicide is that he was likely to be confident he was facing a very light punishment, just like last time, so he wasnt fearful of prison time, didnt have major regrets… why suicide?

It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted
