I keep seeing authors defending themselves against assholes who steal their books and are then like, waahh I’m poor so you can’t be mad, and the obvious answer is libraries but also… it’s 2025. AO3 has millions of free stories. There is SO MUCH free fiction available! No need to steal anything!!!

Rogue One forgets its own main character’s backstory 5 minutes after they give it to her. Acting like she knows nothing of the rebellion, or what it means to sacrifice for the rebellion, when she was raised in an anti empire terrorist cell was a bizarre choice. SHE was what was sacrificed!!!
rogue one is bad folks. i have believed this since i saw it in theaters and no subsequent rewatch has changed my mind. basically a chop job until the final sequence, which is good (for star wars)

The trans sports panic is so obviously a Trojan horse intended to re-establish the idea that men are inherently superior to women that it baffles me to see it taken seriously. It’s so clearly an easy way to communicate to little Kayla that boys are better than her without saying it out loud.
This issue is such a fucking layup for Democrats. In professional sports we've had criteria for HRT etc for decades and trans athletes meet those criteria. In amateur sports we are talking about teens playing for fun and low stakes, who gives a shit if someone is trans?

As an Idaho native the giant Boise protest is great but not shocking, but these protests in places like Driggs and Weiser are just stunning.

My current favorite mug! Somehow Miss Marple’s darkly Victorian view on life and human nature fits very well with MurderBot’s general outlook. The first time she took a sip of tea and mournfully but knowingly said “human nature being what it is” MurderBot would feel *so* vindicated.
