One thing I love about my dog: she hates sweaters and doesn't understand how to dig herself under a blanket, but if you drape a little blanky over her back like a horse, she will carefully walk around with it on her as long as possible.

Ted Cruz abandoning the people he represents is the most accurate atmospheric measuring tool we have — prep candles, batteries and food for a major storm.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was spotted earlier today, January 20, 2026, on a plane heading to Laguna Beach as the state of Texas braces for a rare ice threat and arctic cold front.

I hate this. I can't even chat with my sister without Gmail helpfully summarizing each email in an ai overview, which I have to see before I even get to the email.

been a couple of years since I've played a Yakuza game so I finished up the last bosses on Yakuza 6 and 7, and just started Like a Dragon Gaiden and it's. So good. I really missed my guy and his goofy subquests.

1) I like it when Rural Indexing Project gets subtly political

2) …if you see it, don't feel guilty, I think Keith Haring would think it was funny

For those of us who pay quarterly taxes or any other payment by December 31, this unheralded change in postal policy can bite you in the butt. This could have other unforeseen consequences (e.g., mail-in balloting), but for now, this is more timely.

My sister's dog chewed up her favorite sweater so I told her I'd try mending it. I wasn't expecting much, especially since I was just freehanding it trying to knit shapes to match the holes, but it turned out so much cooler than expected!

There are “rules” in photography that you learn and then can break for visual effect. That is different than not knowing the rules. The former is very much what is happening here. Choices were made and they show the power of photography.
Oh my god y'all I had not seen the rest of the Vanity Fair photos holy shit. Christopher Anderson deserves a medal.

Look at this. He left the LIGHT SWITCHES in the edited photos! These assholes look like their well-meaning mom took a picture of them on their first day in a grown-up job.

I brought a nice cake to my office holiday lunch and I'm just. Confused by the response to it?? Someone grilled me about whether I really made it, and then asked if I was a random ethnicity (not related to the cake but he said he'd expect it from someone of that ethnicity).
