Absolutely amazing. Such towering intellects.
Pinched this video from @cjsnowdon.bsky.social on Twitter because Bluesky has to see it.

Nothing can prepare you for the punchline here.

The Museum of Film, TV and Photography in Bradford was a wonderful place. Went loads of times as a kid and loved it every time!
The Science and Media Museum in Bradford used to be this, back when it was the museum of Film, TV, and Photography, before the Science Museum Group took it over, drained it of funding, took all the good stuff off to put in storage in London, and replaced it with "interactive experiences".
A museum of TV and film history could open on the edge of North London, after the local council offered £2 million towards the cost of building it.

@almurray.bsky.social you should sue C Anal for nicking your idea!
They've done a Paddington musical and it's supposed to be very good but the bear looks like it's on drugs

Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…

Honestly it's funny that he is *quite literally* saying "deregulate and reduce the burden of taxation on business to create jobs" and nobody on the left will criticise him. Good.
Soon small businesses won’t have to wait for Small Business Saturday to get attention from their Mayor.

Some changes that they can look forward to:

Honestly we can see this happening already with Yimbyism but I do kind of think pro-market, anti-monopoly policy becoming left-coded would be an extremely good development

If there was no state where were Mary and Joseph travelling to and why?
There was no state. Who does she think crucified him, an anarchist collective?

Everyone using this should be shunned and probably jailed and those who created it should go to The Hague.

This house tax pretending is making me more insane than usual because as a renter I’ve had to move every 1-3 years just as standard because rents always rise. And no one cares. House owners get a tiny fraction of that precarity and suddenly it’s the worst thing that’s ever happened

Every version of this story is some version of ‘well you couldn’t expect me to be able to afford to buy the house I currently own’ and yes that is the point welcome to the housing crisis.

Serious howls of outrage in the media this morning at what is a relatively modest Budget from Labour that does nothing more than fiddle around the margins.

It does highlight the missed opportunity. If you’re going to get this reaction anyway, why not at least get it for attempting a big swing?

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."

Wanted to be a physicist since age 14. Got to uni and was crap at it (2 final year attempts). Worked in a uni a while then saw my friend/neighbour had nice suits and cars. He did sales. Went into that for a while and hated it. He then helped me get a job as a project manager and went from there.

This just isn't true
Newmarket MP Matt Hancock gave a £37bn Covid testing contract to Jockey Club director Dido Harding, who subcontracted it to Grand National sponsor Randox, employer of Tory MP Owen Paterson, whose late wife chaired Aintree racecourse. That's how the Tories handled the pandemic.
