OK then, what was the action? What has the Trump admin done? What proposals have they made? They have only ever offered “thoughts and prayers” on social media. Nothing else.

My NPAR (Nazi Potential Above Replacement) model shows that young Republican is 8 times as likely to use Nazi slogans as a typical American. And I tell you the best place to get a steak in Syracuse without paying. All that and more in the next Silver Bulletin.

Joni Ernst’s lifelong legacy for women serving in the military from her time in the Senate is Pete Hegseth.

Every woman denied promotion, denied a job specialty, sexually harassed, or forced out for bs reasons, owes it all to Ernst and the Republican Party.

A NYT comment: “Humans ate organic, whole foods for millennia. They got plenty of exercise, lived without plastics. Until the mid-1800s, life expectancy at birth was 39. Food may be good medicine, but it’s not a panacea. Medical advances—like vaccines—have doubled the human lifespan, not superfoods”

NEW: Over the years, Texas legislators have declined to pass at least three bills that would create siren or alert systems, a tool that Kerr County officials tried to secure for years before the July 4 flooding.

Baldwin: I remember my cross-examination of Secretary Kennedy from HHS, and he said, “We will have radical transparency.” But what they’ve actually had is radical opaqueness. They never answer a letter. They never answer a question.

It’s one of the ways that democracy begins to degrade—

Always loved the people who are like, "But my ancestors came here the legal way!" and by that they mean they arrived via ratship to an island, a man asked them their name, they were like, "Uh, Jeff... Smith?" another guy said "sure?" and then they became permanent residents of the United States.
Bit rich complaining about New York being taken over by immigrants when there's a big fucking statue in the harbour that invites everyone to come live there.

Holy smokes. It has been a joy to rediscover Calvin and Hobbes with my kids. Maybe we should try reading books instead of banning them
How profoundly sad. The kids deprived of reading Calvin and Hobbes are the kids who need them the most. My brother put it best: "We know we’re fucked when they come for your cartoon stuffed tigers."

Let's go sit in the grass and crack open "The Days are Just Packed."

The Too Weak doctrine
Now I understand.

When Trump says he'll give Putin TWO WEEKS to move toward ending the Ukraine war or he'll punish Russia, he means, there ain't no deadline.

When Trump says he'll spend TWO WEEKS negotiating before joining an Israeli military strike on Iran, he means two days and then it's war.

People at the raided house say they rented it for a birthday party and deny any connection to the gang. One man says law enforcement accused him of being in Tren de Aragua because of his tattoo.
