I like: sci-fi, gameshow comedy, memes, robots, queers. She/her.
Update on this: the woman in Utah had her car scratched by someone who left a note with their phone and email - but presumably miswrote it. She refuses to believe this and is now accusing J of having left a note with her email address and now lying about it.
J has recieved a series of angry emails from someone who thinks she hit their car yesterday in Utah.

#hw loudly, tunelessly, and passionately sings the K-Pop Demon Hunters song "Golden" about the house and a) it is so sweet, b) I wonder why/how it speaks to him. Does he feel that he is done hiding and going to be golden? I hope so.

#hw has been getting into greek myth and asked me to make Cerberus out of lego. I was quite pleased with this!

The New York Times: "the french fry restaurant"
new favourite New York Times term for a British thing just dropped

I tried to show the Shia LaBoeuf song to #hw this morning and he watched in bewildered horror until they were singing "stab him in his kidneys" and he whispered "I'm done" and we had to watch Moses Supposes for a palate cleanser before he would go to school. A+ parenting.

Man, there is something magical about Oasis' Wonderwall, isn't there? Those guitars, and the keyboard line at the end. Who knows what it means, but there's something so reflective and heart-tugging about it. I wonder how it plays to people hearing it for the first time now.

We spent the whole of last week working our way through a cold that still has J in its clutches; I took #hw to school in the car, got home, walked to the subway, waited 15min until it became clear that the whole line was paralyzed, walked back, got parking pass, drove in, now finally at my desk.

I'm thinking all of them can have a scene where one MC sees the other smiling at a guy so they break up out of jealousy and shitty communication and then *never talk again* only I string it out over sixty pages

I didn't know people did this and now I want to pay someone to flood all the pirate sites with 'adjusted' versions of all my romance novels.
I truly hope if you're downloading books that you download one of the ones that are uploaded with the fake endings, the random "and then he shit in her mouth and turned her into a zombie" that i know someone is adding that to her romance books & has her sister upload dozens of versions of that.

A friend who teaches theology shared with me a post about CS Lewis's Mere Christianity, which discusses foundational Christian logic across denominations. It reminded me of Dale's tweet below, and I wanted to share some thoughts here regarding modesty and respectability, which are often hot topics.

Adjusting based on questions so far: she cannot & will not again be able to knit or sew, I think; looking for something pretty to look at and easy to read, not patterns but more art-focused, I think. Non-fabric art also welcome. Thank you!
Friends in the UK who are into fabric arts - I'm looking for a magazine subscription to get for my stepmother who was a big sewer before her brain injury and now likes reading magazines. I'd appreciate recs! (No international postage recs please)

"There's clearly something political about it but nobody knows what it is". Truly we are living in the stupidest year!!!
It’s the exclusive everyone wanted, the story that will win next year’s Pulitzer…

I can reveal London’s giant AI generated Christmas artwork, the subject of much online mockery, is being torn down - and I honestly *genuinely* think you’ll never guess why. www.londoncentric.media/p/ai-artwork...
London's giant AI artwork to be torn down
The bizarre story of why a much-talked-about creation is being torn down. Plus: Docklands Light Railway extension, giant laser stalks the night sky, and more tales of Android phone theft rejection.

I pick up #hw from school every day and we've fallen into a routine as we walk to the bus where we tell each other about our days; now if I have to stay late at work he wants to tell me about his day and hear about mine even when he only sees me the next morning. It's so precious to me.
