Today the British union IWGB said it has filed formal legal claims against Rockstar Games for firing 30+ employees two weeks ago, as Bloomberg first reported. Rockstar said the employees were leaking information. The IWGB calls it union-busting. More to come as the legal process plays out...

Yeah. And I know that's a boomer take. But that's just how I viewed chat rooms and forums. They were communities. That's certainly how I viewed Twitter when I joined to hang out with people I knew from 1up. I recognize that's not what these things are anymore.

I’ve thought about what Iwata said about layoffs a lot recently.
“I sincerely doubt employees who fear that they may be laid off will be able to develop software titles that could impress people."
It’s true in any industry. Motivation/Morale go down if you feel your job is threatened constantly.
