Note that the dismissal is "without prejudice". That doesn't mean the case is over, there is a savings provision giving the government a period of time to resubmit it properly even though the statute of limitations has run.
BREAKING: Lindsey Halligan's purported appointment as interim U.S. attorney was invalid and she "had no lawful authority to present the indictment" against James Comey.

Look what I just found in my local "little library"! Maybe I should send it to Mayor-elect Mamdani. After all, Trump doesn't read lol.

I snapped this one at sunset tonight from Figueroa Mountain Road in Santa Barbara County looking towards the Gaviota Coast. The distance between me and the boat is shockingly well over 30 miles! #Photography

Re Nuzzi - this excerpt nails it.
Agreed, but probably not 👇🏻

This is the sharpest analysis of the Olivia Nuzzi saga.

As institutional journalism has collapsed, individual journalists have basically had two paths for scraping by: a "prestige play" (hounding for prizes) or an "attention play" (social media celebrity).

Both are corrupt in different ways.

Re the latest "scandal" involving Olivia Nuzzi and Vanity Fair: She may not stop sleeping with her sources but she will soon be sleeping with the fishes, career-wise. Celebrity journalism is DEAD. We can only hope.

JFC. "Quiet, Piggy."
As a woman it's crazy how you have to run the most insanely elite gauntlet of ivy league, networking, good family etc just so you can swallow your tongue when the president calls you a pig. Because if this happened to me then there's a non-zero someone gets off the plane in a body bag.

i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”

basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

i feel that with my dad.

The "left" media, with which I have literally decades of experience, is a wreck and a sham, in my opinion. Some of the stories they've rejected or buried over the years would blow your mind (stay tuned). This writer is correct: what's critical is hard news, not a constant fluff of outraged opinion.
MUST READ from @pabloreports.bsky.social on how left media chases after clicks (largely by screaming about the right) while right media chases after policy changes.

When will left funders learn that hard news moved the needles, clickbait just produces retweets

Irony: there were people just like BARI WEISS saying shit like this about Vietnam. I remember in 1968 bringing the gruesome Ramparts photo issue on "the children of Vietnam" to high school in Japan and brainwashed American kids saying "fake" and "if we leave, there'll be a bloodbath." Sickening.👇
