hey #gamedev people, anyone have small game engines you like? I like messing around with smaller programs like that so i wanted to see if you have any favorites! things outside of the popularity bubble of godot, gamemaker, rpgmaker, etc
when it comes to #TTRPG design, i think that things such as random tables for loot generation, encounter generation, and similar systems are critical. Even if someone isn't using it strictly for generation, it is still providing frames of reference for the relevant mechanics

i honestly think that you can tell a lot about a game just from it's fishing minigame. The concept of a "fishing minigame" is so incredibly broad that the actual implementation really does come down to what the game wants, in contrast to comparable systems like hacking minigames. #gamedev
