The anti-empathy sentiment has been a major part of damaging or destroying cherished relationships in my life. I'm grateful to see such a thorough and competent engagement against it from Dr. Treweek.

This is potentially mind-blowing... what if "[she] has put in more than all the others." should infer "...and that's bad" instead of "...and that's good" like it has my whole life? 😳🤔
Luke 21:1-4 is an example of a text that has suffered from a long tradition of poor interpretation. The widow is not an exemplary giver, she is a victim of exemplary injustice. She is an illustration of a vulnerable one whose house is being devoured (20:47) by an exploitative religious system.
