Trump is a massive liar but in a way that makes people think, as George Carlin said about Bill Clinton, that he's "honest about being completely full of shit."

Makes me feel absolutely fucking insane when you feckless losers just keep posting about grocery prices. I can buy 18 eggs for $5 at my overpriced Manhattan grocery store, so what now bitch.

There's a guide I read at some point for writers about how to not use this shit, and one of the points it makes is that you can just use a word that describes the ACTUAL behavior.

The actual description of what they do is never the developmental slur that you want to use.
I will never for my entire life understand why people are so fucking hostile to the idea that a word they use is violent against disabled people and they shouldn’t say it

We remove racial slurs from our vocabulary easily. Slurs against disabled people are no different, you’re just lazy and ableist

ICE ended up returning the man, Saly, after realizing he’s a fucking US citizen with no criminal record, per his sister-in-law. These fucking animals.

Respectfully, I am going to whisper to some of our white comrades a truth that should be more widely known: You definitely have some ancestors to be proud of, ancestors who refused white supremacy, and poured out their lives in many of these struggles over time.

Time to claim your true history.

Saw a lot of headlines saying "wikipedia is embracing ai" being tossed around tabloids, and I'm pretty sure they were maliciously written to make you feel a certain way about Wikipedia. What's actually happening is that wikipedia is demanding payment for data scraping and the corpos don't like that.
Sure. AI companies have ALWAYS been training their models on Wikipedia content, which under the free and open access model is available to anyone — including AI companies. Agreements like these require AI companies to limit and offset the strain they place on Wikimedia infrastructure.

You're paying for this.

Trump's Big Ugly Bill gave BILLIONS to ICE and giant corporations—using money meant to lower your health care costs.

Instead of helping your mom get cancer treatment, your tax dollars are being used to terrorize communities.
CNN airs a compilation of escalating ICE aggression towards peaceful protesters.

Just finished the final (for now?) Eric Carter novel by @stephenblackmoore.com - Cult Classic. Really enjoyed this whole series and the thought of not spending more time with Eric, Gabriela, and the rest of these characters.

I want these fuckers prosecuted. I will not vote for a candidate who shies away from this.
A teenage boy was walking home in Minneapolis yesterday when four masked men jumped out of a van & questioned him - with no parent or guardian present.

He was bundled into the van & taken away.

Bystanders heard the boy say: “Can I just go home?”

I don’t know how America comes back from all this.

Dems need to start running right now on a platform of "This is what we are going to do to fix **all of this** and here's why each of our decisions conforms with established law and is informed by the evidence of recent misuse."
Democrats who want to abolish ice should start introducing legislation to roll back the creation of DHS. It was a specific post 9/11 law that combined previously extant functions into a single new department. Let’s start getting that model legislation out there. (Is it already?)

It’s not going to be enough to abolish ICE because there’s always going to be a law enforcement arm connected to immigration. We have to make sure that none of the people who are currently working for ICE are ever allowed to work in federal law enforcement in any capacity.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

Kristi Noam, Stephen Miller, Donald Trump: they all have blood on their hands.
