CNN is reporting the real reason Trump is closing the Kennedy Centre for two years is not for renovation: “the Kennedy Center does not have a 2026/2027 season. There would not have been any programming to announce."

I'm pretty sure there are tools available that can track/alert an organisation when a confidential email/document is forwarded/shared to an external contact.

As to whether that tool was a) available at the time 2)utilised by Gov't then and 3) utilised by Gov't now... 🤷‍♀️

My invariable curiosity in this case the replies to @rhodri.biz 's request to fill the gaps in on the what's going on that's popular with friends led me to this post, and I tracked down THIS "The day Before You Came" Pulp Cover ABBA With The BBC Concert Orchestra: Watch share.google/Xffpl7VkhXC6...

The person to watch is David Rubenstein, who has poured millions in philanthropy into the Kennedy Center, is not going to be pleased about this, and has money, ego, and patriotism long enough to sustain a long-ass legal battle.

Particularly since his cash isn't crypto.
Trump: "I have determined that the fastest way to bring The Trump Kennedy Center to the highest level of Success, Beauty, and Grandeur, is to cease Entertainment Operations for an approximately two year period of time, with a scheduled Grand Reopening that will rival and surpass anything."

The statement reads to me as 2 sequential cheques processed & one bank transfer - the last suggests payment into a specific account.

Where is the info to show the destination of the money from the first 2 cheques clearing?

Interesting no other credit/debit to that account in the month.
Jeffrey Epstein paid $75,000 into accounts connected to Lord Mandelson, bank statements released by the US Department of Justice suggest

Lord Mandelson said he had no record or recollection of receiving the £ & didn’t know whether the documents were authentic

Also evidence that essentially eliminating irregular immigration - as Australia has - doesn't, by itself, stop the radical right.
Nobody in Britain pays any attention to Australian politics, but One Nation overtaking the Coalition in the polls has distinct parallels with Reform leading the Conservatives. Parties on the radical right are coming for centre right parties across the world...

BBC Three showing 15 minute shorts I see. Just caught the last 2 minutes of 1 that looked good and already caught in the next one "Pineapple" about a woman using a dating app with THEIR various cliche disappointments when CLEARLY the right one is under her nose all the time.

The WASPI case I always felt was doomed to failure.

As a benefits adviser since before the changes to SPA, I've always been aware of the changes for women, and that clouds my memory of what notice was given to people.

I can't say how others would respond to letters rec'd.

But...

How is this deescalation?!
This morning, federal agents staged at the Powderhorn Park Recreation Center lot and began to throw chemical irritants at observers. They also kidnapped an observer. Our parks are meant for our children, youth, and neighbors. They should never be militarized zones meant to separate families. 1/

Blimey! Free domiciliary care service - and it's the second council (both in London) to offer this.

I'm intrigued at how they can afford this. Suspect costs associated with sourcing & implementing care packages from private co.s, along with financial assessment/debt collection teams savings.
