Not only do Walmart + Amazon get huge tax breaks from the towns they build in, they are subsidized by the gov across the board. They pay criminally low wages, subsidized by SNAP, they use local police as a private security force. All the money in the world and they still suck everything dry.
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."
