Alaska vowed to resolve the murders of Indigenous people.

But when one nonprofit asked state law enforcement officials for a fundamental piece of data — a list of Indigenous murders they’d investigated — the state said no.

Alaska Vowed to Resolve Murders of Indigenous People. Now It Refuses to Provide Their Names.
When the nonprofit Data for Indigenous Justice filed public records requests with the Alaska Department of Public Safety concerning cases it had investigated, the state rejected them.

Oh look, more murder.
About 90,000 people living near larger chemical plants face an unacceptable risk of developing cancer, the EPA says.

New rules adopted last year could’ve cut that number to 3,000 residents — a drop of 97%.

But Trump has halted those efforts.
Air Pollution From Industrial Facilities Is Far Worse Than Estimated
The Trump administration has put a stop to EPA rules that would have required more than 130 industrial facilities to install air monitors to measure pollution. Millions of people living near these pla...

The people looking at the candidate whose critique of the Iraq War was that it wasn’t brutal or rapacious enough and seeing an “anti-war” candidate are the biggest marks in American politics, which hasn’t stopped a lot of them from getting lucrative media/academic sinecures
On the Punnett square of "The Iraq war was/wasn't done for oil" and "And that's good/bad" he is the only person on God's green, brown, blue, white and gold Earth who falls in the "It wasn't/And that's bad" quadrant, the most proactively imperialistic position possible.

Stroller’s vision of politics is one in which an adjunct instructor of English literature is part of the “Establishment” and Elon Musk and Rupert Murdoch aren’t. It makes gestures at class politics but it’s all vacuous posturing that ignores anything substantive about Trump‘s actual policy record

I don’t know what the Supreme Court will do, but I am confident that at the District Court level it is still the case that the Pentagon cannot recall a sitting US Senator to active duty in order to court martial him for something he said. Article 1, Section 6, among other constitutional provisions.
