Hyperbole is a bigger problem than we realize. It’s changed our way of speaking, and then crept directly into our way of thinking. Nothing matters unless it is the biggest hugest Everything ever and I can’t exaggerate that enough
related to this a lot of people in the pundit class need to learn how to just be annoyed by someone or something without turning it into What’s Wrong With America
i am fascinated by how nate silver turns everything he doesn’t like into a bespoke ideology. it’s not that he is annoyed by HCR, it is that she is a dreaded “ism” responsible for everything he doesn’t like about the democratic party. same with bluesky.

The attacks on trans rights, which are basic human rights, are a terrible injustice and an attack on truth and fact as well. Everyone should be deeply alarmed and it should be disqualifying for a politician to support such discrimination.

Today I definitely did not see an elderly lady stealing bread from the grocery store.
I would have offered to buy it for her but I didn’t want to bring any unwanted attention to her since was almost out the door already.
It’s so wrong that people can’t afford food in this day and age 😢
