Hello friends. I mostly share here things intended to bring solace & a little joy.

I’ll also talk about my work (contemporary story-songs & geek-folk, interfaith, history, folklore & nonsense).

I encourage you to seek out beauty, dwell in wonder, practice kindness & be thankful (& use alt-text!)

When you hear what Rachel Reeves has in store in the Budget, remember that there were ALWAYS other choices.

Labour have deliberately and consciously chosen to ignore the fact that Brexit is draining up to £90 billion a year from the UK economy.

That's a gap no amount of taxation can fill.

I wrote this piece about Trudi Warner and why juries are an important part of our constitution in April last year. I think particularly worth reading today.

Judge rules that the solicitor general ‘mischaracterised’ the evidence when he charged Warner with contempt of court for holding up a placard.

Well, that was so good for my heart!

I zoomed with my much-missed dear friend who lives an ocean away, & sang selected carols for her pre-Advent house-gathering, as she unpacked their history & meaning.

I’ve missed streaming. Now I’m considering a seasonal interfaith (all/none!) zoom-concert…

What would the Green Party do at the Budget?

💡 Cut energy bills by ending profiteering
🚰 Cut water bills by bringing water into public hands
🏠 Give councils the power to control rents
🚸 Lift the two-child benefit cap and extend free school meals to all

Cut Bills. Tax Billionaires.

Went to a thing! The lights switch-on up in town. Convivial, busy, cheesy, joyful.

1. I wore my Christmas pudding hoody. I was the Hooded Pudding. With jingly antlers. Which I jingled at anyone also wearing headgear. Because it makes people laugh.

Brilliant communication. It’s got the Story and it’s got the Numbers.

And it’s shocking to hear, as it should be.

WHY do we let people hoard wealth while others scrape?

It’s almost shocking to hear Zack speak; we are not used to hearing clear, strong heart-truth from our politicians.

And it’s shocking that it’s shocking.

We all deserve honesty & compassion. It’s on us to support the party bringing it.

It’s so chilly that I’m wearing legwarmers on my arms to bridge the gap between my three-quarter length sleeves & my fingerless gloves.

I am of course wearing legwarmers on my legs as well.

Now I know why I knitted myself three extra pairs this Autumn.
