M: Yes. Things are going to be a little confusing while we re-add him to the system. I did tell HR that hiring someone called Jamez Bohnd as his temporary replacement would cause problems but they wouldn't have it. Bloody idiots.

For me this is illustrative of a wider problem - people expecting stories to be consistent and 'real'. Myths don't have a canon. Give us an Absolute Bond where he grows up on a council estate. Give us a Bond musical, or Comrade Bond who was raised in the USSR. It's fine.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”
