Cat does a new thing where he has found a hole in the hot press, slips in and runs around in the space between the two floors and wakes us up at night with muffled meows but doesn't want us to get him out and can get out easily on his own. Here is a pic of him coming out looking like a miner rescue

the thieves said "I'm not going to be the person I'm expected to be anymore.." and all the walls of the shop collapsed and they made their getaway

Happy to be of service. I once got into a taxi in Dublin wearing a cool new outfit. I was nervous about deviating from the norm but did it anyway.

The taxi driver was on the phone when I got in. First thing he did was finish his phone call saying "I have to go, this fella's wearing dungarees"

The Irish Times reported on Friday night, an hour after polls closed: "Historic low turnout in presidential election likely". When the votes were counted, it turned out turnout was actually up vs 2018.
Going back through the history of the Irish presidency, it's mad how many elections went uncontested. Trying to imagine the uproar had Humphreys stood down before the election and Connolly won by default, when actually there's historical precedent for it lol.

Me when I wasn't planning to go to the pub but I've had a few cans at home
This is no longer the case, and the Taoiseach is now on his way to Dublin Castle for the declaration
The Taoiseach is not coming to Dublin Castle for the official declaration of Catherine Connolly's victory in the presidential election.

Whether intended or not, it's going to look very confrontational for the head of government NOT to be there to congratulate the new head of state

Just so we're clear Jim O'Callaghan largely agrees with the mob at Citywest. Any punishment the state metes out will be for violence against Gardaí, not for violence against innocent people in an IPAS centre.

Had a rugby coach when we were 11/12 who was a drill seargant in the army. He had us crawling through half-iced over muddy puddles shouting 'there's n0 rain' at the sky. We lost so many matches.

It's not enough that these people reap the benefits of multiple generations of wealth and social connections (look up both families), but the rest of us must remember to constantly tug the forelock, remember they're our betters, and refrain from even the mildest of ribbings.

I wonder if anyone introducing automated meeting notes, summaries etc to their teams has ever also considered the truly radical, disruptive approach of... having fewer meetings. 🤔
