A big "activist" account that:

doesn't provide practical action items
doesn't tell you to call your reps
doesn't point you to community groups to support
doesn't vocally support trans & immigrant rights
doesn't criticize elected Ds
mainly posts memes

may actually be a "de-activist" account

Trump doesn't have this authority.

States are filling a void left by the federal government's failure to hold AI companies accountable.

But after those companies donated millions to Trump's campaign, his inauguration fund, and his ballroom, Trump is doing their bidding. This cannot stand.

"No President has jurisdiction over state law nor the power to pardon a person for state convictions. This is a matter for the courts to decide, and we will abide by court orders."

I keep thinking about how terrible it is that so many people will be losing their health insurance in January due to costs and cuts. I was rejected from insurance once before the ACA [preexisting conditions]. I was hospitalized that year and it almost bankrupted me. We need universal heathcare ASAP.

The pardon power doesn’t extend to state convictions, so now we’re going to have another issue of presidential authority wind its way through the courts and up to SCOTUS FML

One under-appreciated part of this: note the bit below about “and their dependents.”

Under the Trump admin’s new policy, dependent children of visa applicants are not allowed to have their social media set to private during the entire visa process. They MUST make their social media public.

Really useful analysis of data to show how many people are going to ICE detention from local jails. These arrests are less visible to the public - as compared to raids or street arrests -- so we don't see the full scope.

Simply saying it does not make it so.
